The Ukrainian delegation continues its work at the international tourism exhibition in Riga.
The national stand is represented by the Tourism and Promotion Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, the Department of City Marketing and Tourism, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, the Lviv Tourism Office, the Association of Incoming Tour Operators of Ukraine, Trade House Ukraina, and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They are introducing participants and visitors to Ukraine—its nature, culture, traditions, and hospitality.
Guests also had the opportunity to experience some Ukrainian destinations firsthand through augmented reality glasses provided by Virtual World Studio as part of the "Virtual Ukraine" project. This project creates VR360 presentations of Ukraine's communities and regions, allowing for the virtual demonstration of cultural and historical heritage sites, natural and architectural monuments, and tourism infrastructure. Following the start of the full-scale war, the team launched the "Virtual Ukraine – WAR IN UKRAINE" initiative, which documents the consequences of Russian aggression in VR format.
On the second day, the Ukrainian delegation met with ALTA (Latvijas Tūrisma Aģentu un Operatoru Asociācija)—the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators. ALTA is a professional social organization established to protect the interests of the tourism business. It unites leading travel agents and tour operators, coordinates their activities, ensures cooperation, and represents the industry's interests at both national and international levels. The meeting focused on the potential for future cooperation, specifically regarding joint educational initiatives and promotional tours.
