Mastercard to Support the Development of GovTech and Transparent Tourism Management in Ukraine

Within the framework of the GovTech Lab Ukraine open innovation program, implemented by the Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv, the global technology company Mastercard will partner with SATD (State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine) in the implementation of a project to create a transparent, data-driven tourism management system.

Tourism is one of the key sectors for economic recovery and strengthening community capacity, yet the sector's development is hindered by a lack of modern digital tools and high-quality analytics.

Thanks to Mastercard's participation, the project team will receive expert support at all key stages: from selecting the teams that will develop technological solutions, to mentorship during the bootcamp, and participation in the demo day, where the concepts will be presented to state customers and partners.

The partnership with Mastercard will allow for increasing transparency in local self-government, implementing uniform rules for the tourism market, and contributing to the sustainable development of Ukrainian regions.

This partnership is part of a broader cooperation between Mastercard and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, which helps develop the digital economy and make public services more accessible and secure through innovative GovTech solutions.

GovTech Lab Ukraine is the first open innovation program in Ukraine that unites government agencies, startups, and IT companies for the joint development of effective digital products.

The GovTech Lab Ukraine program is implemented by the Global Government Technology Centre Kyiv (GGTC), with the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the World Economic Forum, and with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program, implemented by the East Europe Foundation.
